Technical Sales Training case studies and feedback:

Netherlands: Soluforce relies on engineers to sell their high-tech pipelines. The Senior Sales Engineer came to Royal Wootton Bassett for Technical Sales Coaching.

Bicester:  The UK division of an Italian company selling fluid pumps and systems into key UK markets needed to add some proven sales skills and techniques to their existing arsenal of offers.  The delegates of mixed age, ability and experience so some were learning this as a completely new discipline, while others were using the course as a refresher.  The course was taken in modules, presented at their bi-monthly sales meetings.

Further Outcomes: Pleased with the results so far, the company has commissioned Salient to coach the National Sales Manager through the Technical Sales Manager course.

Munich:  Salient Sales and Training is proud to have achieved ‘Registered Supplier’ status for Samsung LED GmbH which is based in Munich, Germany.  In December 2018, Andy Entwistle, Director of Salient, delivered the first Technical Sales course to the team.  The course was well received by the 9-strong sales team who gave the course a 9/10 satisfaction rating.

At the request of the group director, the whole sales process was covered by the course, from marketing and planning to negotiation, closing the deal and developing the client.  Using a self-checking performance rating covering the whole sales process, the course was tailored to the needs of the team and the company.

The main course objective was to improve business conversion rates. The team varied in experience and ability, but all were already personable, professional and successful.  To some the course provided a simple and effective sales structure and a range of techniques from which to choose those that fitted their need.  To others it was a source of new ideas, and provided a useful reminder of some of the more established and proven techniques.

On the final day, the delegates provided feedback for the course:  Besides the 9/10 score, Andy was delighted to receive comments such as ‘well trained, highly professional’, ‘strong style of presenting’, ‘a professional approach’, ‘really well explained’ and ‘it was a real pleasure to learn’.
